IMPORTANT NOTICE: Pool water must drain into storm drains

**IMPORTANT NOTICE**

PROPERTY OWNERS DRAINING POOLS MUST ENSURE THE WATER IS DRAINING DIRECTLY INTO A STORM DRAIN

We’ve had issues at least 3 times over the past month when the water main project in Vernor Estates has been adversely affected by contractors using high CFM pumps to drain pools.  In each case, the issues were caused by the water flowing down and/or across the road. In one case, the water partially filled a key excavation and undermined Stoneleigh Rd.  In another case, the water washed away topsoil that had just been prepared for sodding and ended up leaving inches of mud in driveways at the end of Compton Way.

In every case, the impacts could have been mitigated or avoided altogether if the lines would’ve been directed into a storm drain.   With weeks of work ahead of us still and an unknown # of pools remaining to be drained, I’d like to ask homeowners to ensure the work their contractors are performing on their behalf is not setting the project back or impacting their neighbors.
