Construction Progress Continues
Our road repaving project is moving ahead well. Below are a few important updates.
The second public hearing has moved from May to April 27. The Township will mail a notice to each affected property before the hearing.
Bids for the road repaving project are now in, and the Township has selected Allied Construction. Township officials feel good about that decision, as Allied has completed other successful projects for the Township.
The projected cost has come down for two main reasons. First, the County and Township reduced the percentages used for engineering and contingency, which lowered the overall estimate. Second, the bids came in below the original projections. We were previously at roughly $24,000, and the cost now appears likely to come in under $20,000. That figure is not yet final.
The project will likely begin in June.
Water Line Modernization
The Township will re-engage in May to complete final grading and sodding. All water line work is now complete.
The Township is responsible for reconnecting all sprinklers and addressing any impact to landscape lighting. Please hold them accountable for restoring these systems properly.
Fiber Cable Lines
Work is still ongoing. The in-ground cable boxes appear complete, but fiber lines are still running to many homes and will need to be buried. I do not have a firm completion date, but I expect this work to finish within the next month or so.
